In the January 1849 issue of his journal "Les Guêpes," Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr famously wrote "The more it changes, the more it's the same thing."  Over the years that has been re-interpreted to mean "The more things change, the more they stay the same."  It's the same in the TV business these days.  After the rapid onset of "OTT-is-the-end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it" thinking, the industry has his the reset button, and the same folks who were running the business a few years ago are running it today.  TV Studios are still producing shows (although now they have a few extra customers like Netflix and Amazon); TV Networks are still distributing shows (and now they don't have to depend entirely on the MVPDs to get viewers); and the MVPDs themselves have adopted the packaged good "flanker brand" strategy:  "if somebody is going to be on the shelf with ME, it's going to be MY product."   Rick Howe, The iTV Doctor, will challenge the key players to find out how they are adapting their distribution and product strategies to keep their legacy businesses
whole while exploiting new opportunities.
